The Bessie Coleman Aerospace Legacy Scholarship

The Bessie Coleman Aerospace Legacy Scholarship is established by the Bessie Coleman Aerospace Legacy Inc (BCAL) - formerly the Bessie Coleman Foundation Inc. (BCF) and is awarded annually to a student/s demonstrating aviation/aerospace potential and the ability to overcome obstacles. This scholarship utilizes Bessie Coleman's legacy to ensure diversity in all aspects of aviation/aeronautical careers by increasing the awareness of the importance of overcoming obstacles and daring to dream!

The amount of BCAL scholarship is determined annually by the BCAL Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

• Applicant must be accepted into or enrolled in an aviation/aeronautical program at an accredited college, university, or training program in the USA.
• Applicant must show ability to overcome obstacles and to be successful.
• BCAL members are encouraged to apply.

Tuskegee Airmen Scholarships

The Memphis Chapter TAI Educational Committee is accepting applications for selection of 2012 Scholarships and Assistance Fund Awards. Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. is offering forty (40) $1500 Scholarships for 2012 (Application deadline is January 14, 2012). Memphis Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. is offering one (1) $1000 Academic Assistance Award (Application deadline is March 1, 2012) and one (1) $1000 Aviation Assistance Award (Application deadline is April 30, 2012).
